Mountain Biking Marin 40 Great Rides in Marin County
Marin is unique in the Bay Area for
it's diversity of natural habitats as well as it's sheer acreage
of open space. There are more than ten public land jurisdictions that preserve
this magnificent wildland that ranges from the coastal bluffs of Point Reyes
National Seashore, to the ridges of Mt. Burdell Open Space, to the single track trails at China Camp State Park. With
42% of the land of Marin available to the public, an open trail is only a stones throw away from most
residents.
Soft paths through shady conifer woodlands, verdant moss-covered rocks and
lilting waterfalls are found on Mt. Tamalpais. Stately oaks, golden grasslands, historic images of ranchers and grazing cattle are found along the ridges and
valleys of Marin. Rugged coastlines and fields of wildflowers are found along the coast
- this is just part of the Marin that nature lovers treasure.
This is the Marin we invite you to explore. We have described our favorite
rides, and found new rides for you to explore. We hope you have great adventures!
